Mérites Sportifs Valaisans
We are honored that our chocolates have been chosen as gifts for the participants of the Valaisans Sports Merits ceremony – Walliser Sportverdienste – which takes place on April 30, 2025, at the Théâtre La Poste in Visp. The chocolates will be presented in up-cycled wooden boxes made by the Fovahm workshop in Martigny and with sleeves whose creative printed designs were thought up and developed by agency Forme in Sion (Jeremy Formaz, Creative Director). The athletes nominated this year are Kyshawn George, the third Swiss to play in the NBA; Nico Hischier, pillar of the Devils in the NHL; Naomi Luyet, voted best player in the Super League; Loïc Meillard, third in the overall World Cup rankings; and Camille Rast, author of an exemplary season in the World Cup. A big thank you to Grégoire Jirillo, Chief of the Service des Sports, Canton du Valais; Ralf Kreuzer; Canal9, and Patrick Deletroz of Sportpress.
Skimo World Championships in Morgins
A shower of medals for Switzerland during the Ski Mountaineering World Championships in Morgins:
Marianne Fatton was crowned sprint world champion. Jon Kistler had a magnificent race and won the elite bronze medal ahead of Arno Lietha (4th) and Thomas Bussard (5th). This elite podium was accompanied by a U23 world champion title for Kistler, followed by Thomas Bussard, who won the silver medal in the U3 category. Aurélien Gay placed third place in the vertical race ranking.
Rémi Bonnet won the individual world champion title by more than two minutes. In the team race, the pair of Aurélien Gay and Rémi Bonnet finished in a superb second place. Thank you to the Morgins Skimo Club, Yannick Ecoeur, and Sarah for the collaboration with a 50% cacao and hazelnut milk chocolate.
More or fewer extraordinary toppings?
Should there be more or fewer delicious toppings on the chocolates? That’s the eternal question. Even those who would like fewer end up adding more!
Three days of pure biking and skiing bliss
Three days of pure bliss on a bike and ski trip in Val de Bagnes friends Laetitia Lam, Elodie Simonin and Elisa. An eco-friendly trip using only the strength of your thighs:
Train: Geneva – Le Châble
Bike + Ski: Le Châble – Cabane Brunet (2,103 m)
Ski + Bike: Cabane Brunet-Mont Rogneux (3,082 m) – Prarreyer village
Bike + Ski + Bike: Prarreyer – Chargerat Six Blanc – Le Châble
Train: Return home
= 4,150 m of cumulative elevation gain and loss in both sports for this first experience, one night in a cabin and another in the village, a Ça Joue chocolates sponsor and warm encounters, and a pace that was both sporty and contemplative. They celebrated the seasonal transition with the buds and spring snow between passes, summits, forests and cappuccino breaks in the small village cafes of this magnificent region. Managing equipment transitions without forgetting anything, balancing bikes and taking care of skis, They loved playing with the terrain, adapting and blending into the mountain!
Martin Bender
Add talent to dark chocolate with goji berries and you get second overall and a victory in Val Thorens for your second year on the Freeride World Tour. Pretty cool. Ça Joue for Martin Bender!
Soirée NOVA Montagne et Alpiyak
Nice custom wooden gift boxes with chocolates for Frédéric Bourban and Julien Fournier of Eco Forêt, Nendaz’ Triage Forestier, led to some more chocolates for Esprit Nomade, a night out with Stéphanie Nendaz of Nova Montagne, a walk with Aurélie Fierz’ yaks and a dinner in a yurt in la Fouly!
Visit Aurélie Fierz and Thomas Gabioud in summertime at the Alpage d’Emaney.
Ça Joue at the ISM Cologne
Ça Joue chocolates were showcased at the ISM Chocolate & Sweets trade show in Cologne, Germany, representing Valais chocolate craft! We were honored by a visit from Erik Jakob, Swiss General Consul, accompanied by Beat Vonlanthen, Director of Chocosuisse, and Valentin Diethelm of Switzerland Global Enterprise.
PS: Nice antique workbench and table upcycled into a cool chocolate display by FD Bois.
Ça Joue for the Post Office
It’s always incredible to see our orders shipped – but we are always a little worried about whether they will arrive safely. Swiss Post in Le Châble, with its new sorting centre in Vétroz, is doing a great job. Thank you!
Schweizerdeutsch?
Sprechen Sie Deutsch? Schweizerdeutsch?
We are proud to release Ça Joue chocolates with packaging displaying the front ingredients in German. After listening to many opinions about finding a new brand name for the German-speaking market, the consensus was to keep the brand’s Valais origin and identity “in Valaisan”. It is inimitable.
There is just no way to translate Ça Joue... Alles gut?

Ça Joue for la Foire du Valais
Ça Joue at the Comptoir 2024 – the Valais Fair at its best with a fun theme. It was a chance to tattoo everyone with our logo and present our new wooden gift boxes – ideal for gifting your favorite chocolates.
A visit worth noting: Jenna Keller dropped by incognito! We were warned that she does backflips, but we didn’t know she could also drink beer from her ski boots! Congratulations, Jenna, for placing second in the Freeride World Tour 2025 with a great victory on the Bec des Rosses in Verbier.
Ça Joue for Aurélien Gay
Today, Aurélien Gay visited us at the Relais du St Bernard to meet some young fans and sign autographs on Ça Joue chocolate bars.
He is always smiling and ready to encourage others.
Ça Joue for la Patrouille des Jeunes
Ça Joue chocolate was a proud sponsor of the Patrouille des Jeunes 2024. The Patrouille des Jeunes is a ski mountaineering race that takes place in the Verbier ski area during the Patrouille des Glaciers. The event is for young people aged 10 to 20. It seeks to introduce ski mountaineering to as many people as possible and promote the sport among this age group. Thank you to Pierre-Yves Gay, President of the PDJ, for inviting us to this well-organized event.
Ça Joue for the Firefighters
Here it is – the city of Sion’s first fire truck, a 1951 model from the Thames brand. Nowadays, it’s nicknamed “the Lupin Le Vorace” (the Voracious Lupin). After being spotted at a body shop in Sion where it was awaiting a new lease of life so that it could parade once again, we decided, in coordination with the firefighters’ association, to feature it on a chocolate wrapper – to put out the fire of ginger on dark chocolate!
Ça Joue for Queen Shita
Happy like Queen Shita in her field. Shita is a busy cow. Besides being mum to little Shanel, Shita is Queen of the Foire du Valais 2024, after having been crowned the 2022 National Queen of the Hérens breed. She also has a new career as the face of Ça Joue chocolates – milk chocolates, of course, which she recommends to her breeder, Jean-Philippe Terrettaz.
Ça Joue for the kids
Our young visitors let their creativity run wild while enjoying some chocolate making at our chocolate laboratory through the CREPA “Passeport Vacances”.
Thank you to Jean-Charles Fellay, Director of CREPA, for the good times.
Ça Joue for la Patrouille de la Maya
The Patrouille de la Maya, which takes place every two years in Saint-Martin in Valais, is a ski mountaineering race for teams of three runners. It offers two courses for the 1,200 participants: the Grand course (21 km, 1,860 m of D+/D-, 43 km effort) and the Petit course (14 km, 1,290 m of D+/D-, 30 km effort). A big thank you to Grégory Morand and David Rudaz for inviting Ça Joue chocolate as sponsor and official supplier of the “Choco’ de la Maya”.
See us at the Christmas Markets
Chocolate and Christmas go hand in hand. We ventured to the Christmas markets in Bulle and Le Châble with Ça Joue chocolates. It was a pleasure to showcase our creations and share special moments around chocolate tastings. In the autumn, we also participated in the Fête de la Châtaigne (Chestnut Festival) in Fully.
The big leap: Foire du Valais 2023!
A big leap into the unknown with the presentation of the first Ça Joue chocolates at the Foire du Valais 2023! It was a little daring, though – a bit “olé olé”, or “au lait au lait” as Shita the cow might say! Shita was the 2022 National Queen of the Hérens breed and is the face on our packaging, alongside Martin Bender (skiing and mountain biking) and a St. Bernard puppy. We received a warm welcome. Thank you all for the encouragement and for your love of chocolate and well-made local products.
PS: Thanks to Iyoma for her energy and all the hard work on the stand. The rest of the time she is flying on a snowboard! Thank you to Atmobois for making our cool display with up-cycled snowboards and skis.
Ça Joue for Mother Nature
Mother nature at its finest: This beautiful tiny flower grows to become a cacao pod that contains the seeds from which the chocolate will be made after it has been fermented, dried and roasted. Visiting plantations in South America taught us how much love is shown to the cacao each day by everyone involved in the process. To be able to work with organic cacao was a priority and a quest for us, and it led us to work with selected cacao cooperatives.
